Mac Daddy
"One of the most powerful knock-the-paint-off-the-wall vocalists South Louisiana has ever produced!"
- Offbeat Magazine
Lafayette, Louisiana native Gregg Martinez has been performing, recording and writing for nearly five decades. Martinez’s 12th album, MacDaddy Mojeaux, celebrates a life-long passion born in the depths of the Louisiana bayou and still burning brightly today. A 2019 inductee into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame, Martinez has received multiple nominations for OFFBEAT magazine’s Best Male Vocalist in the annual Best of the BEAT Awards. His 2016 release, “Soul of the Bayou,” was named one of OFFBEAT’s Top Ten Albums in Louisiana.

Three-time Grammy winning engineer Tony Daigle (Jon Cleary, Jo-EL Sonnier, B.B. King) is at the project’s helm as co-producer with Martinez. Sessions were held at renowned Dockside Studios in Maurice, LA and Wishbone Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL. A roster of superlative musicians including special guests Sonny Landreth, Rockin’ Dopsie Jr. and The Sweeties (Patti LaBelle) are combined with stellar production for the crowning jewel in Martinez’s discography.
